For us business owners, it’s also a day of not only generating incredible sales but an opportunity to connect with your community and clients. And it will be here before we know it. With each holiday comes an opportunity to plan ahead and build a strategy for your holiday marketing campaign or promotion. Here are our top tips for Valentine’s Day 2021 that you can build and customize into your social media content calendar, digital marketing campaigns, and/or in-store promotions.
Valentine’s Day Email Marketing
Be authentic but play up the romance of this holiday with a playful theme for your Valentine’s Day email blast. Be creative with your wording and have fun with this! Light or heavy, make it match the persona of your brand with catchy/sassy/romantic language in your email subject line and body.

Spread the Love with Donating to a Charity
Do something unexpected and perhaps even make it a monthly norm and value for your company - donate to a local charity!
Here are a few ideas to help get you started:
- Donate Online or Drop off dog/cat food, toys, beds, and blankets to donate to the local animal shelter. For us, we like to support the local Nevada Humane Society and SPCA of Northern Nevada.
- Donate Online or sign up for open time slots to volunteer a few hours each month to pack lunches at the local food bank. Find your local food bank at Feeding America.
- Work with a local organization to host a drive for precious supplies (coats, toiletries, etc).
- Online retailers may donate a % of their online transactions for one month to support a charity.
- Franchises and restaurant chains may opt to donate a % of a specific menu item on a specific day or for a full month.
- Contact local schools to find out how you can best support them. Do they need more volunteers for a garden project? Do they need more binders and calculators for students?
